The Competence Center Data & AI focusses on solving complex business problems using Generative AI and Machine Learning. Our ambition is to use (Generative) AI to optimize our business across the insurance value chain. Current projects are Call Center Automation, Underwriting Knowledge Assistants, Complex Claims Handling and many more. We are also building a cutting-edge Agentic platform to harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) and agent-based systems, enabling smarter, more autonomous applications.

- Developing Conversational AI Solutions using state-of-the-art software engineering methods
- Building virtual agents (voice/chat bots) to automate customer interactions in production environments
- Use GenAI to augment the contact center workplace
- You have a can-do mindset with a great curiosity for new concepts and ideas
- Setting developer standards and providing stable operations incl. standards, security and regulatory compliance
- Analyze technical trends in the field and drive innovation and make sure the application is eventually running smoothly
- Participate in or lead knowledge exchanges within the local AXA (Gen)AI Community
- Effective communication with different stakeholders to understand their needs and drive user adoption
- Experience in GenAI project and in particular with automation of customer contact workflows.
- Experience in understanding a business challenge, designing solution approaches, and transforming them into tangible, measurable value together with a team
- Experience in GenAI principles (e.g. RAG, CoT, Agents) and GenAI Frameworks (e.g. Langchain/Langsmith, Vector Stores)
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in DevOps (Git Flow)
- Basic experience in at least one Web UI Framework, preferably React
- High proficiency in Python & working with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform
- Collaborative, creative, product and user focused
- Passionate about generating business value and drive the user adoption
- Master or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field.
- Fluent German and English
Around 600 software and system developers work for AXA in Switzerland and are developing tomorrow's technology inhouse. To do this, we are also working in global teams and networks. Our agile product teams organize themselves and work independently where they are responsible for everything from A to Z. Our tasks include programming, integrating the latest tools and arranging hackathons.
